Description

A beautiful pair of Louis XV period fauteuils in painted and parcel-gilt beechwood. The frames are carved with scrolling acanthus, shells, and floral motifs. Recently re-upholstered in a sympathetic cream damask. These chairs retain their original paint finish with attractive patina. A quintessential example of the rococo style.
